Mrs E R Wright, of 36, Malthouse Row, Wilnecote, has just received official news that her husband, L/Cpl Harry Wright, son of Mr and Mrs J H Wright, 8, Park Street, Tamworth, has been killed in a road accident, whilst on duty with the Middle East Forces. Aged 24 years, he was a native of Tamworth and was formerly employed at the Birch Coppice Colliery. He was a member of the local Territorials and on the outbreak ow war, he joined the Military Police and after serving in France was sent to the Middle East. A letter expressing the sympathy of the officers and other ranks of his unit stats that he was highly esteemed by all wh knew him and at the funeral in the British Military Cemetery, Tripoli every available man of the unit ans several from other units with who he had been in contact were present.
