Inscription on gravestone: The sorrow we feel we cannot explain, the ache in our hearts always remains. War Diary 66 Company TC, WO 166/5881. Yarm on Tees, 23/7/1941. A court of enquiry was held at Yarm Social Centre to investigate the cause of death of 3446724 Pte. Preston (no other mention in diary). 14/7/1941 Died as a result of an accident.
