Unit War Diary, Guards Armoured Division Pro Coy, 11/9/44 believed cut off by enemy whilst proceeding on way to workshops, 12/9/44 body found in ditch at Hetchel, about 200 yards from the main crossroads, Bourg Leopold Road, pockets had been rifled. Buried with other Divisional casualties by 2 Recce and Welch Guards Padre. Casualty List 1560, North West Europe, Killed in Action, 12/9/1944.
