He was the pillion passenger on a motorcycle ridden by L/Cpl Canada Young which ran into the back of an Arab cart. Young was uninjured. (Pegasus Patrol, page 46). Casualty List 1298, corrections, List 1271, North Africa, Died should read Died Result of Accident, 8/9/1943. Inscription on gravestone: Husband true, soldier brave, for those he loved his life he gave.
