He was born and resided in Essex. 10 Armd Div Pro Coy War Diary WO 169/4128 & 4129. 8/5/42, Khatarba, 549003 L/Cpl Horning J involved in a traffic accident when his motorcycle collided with a truck. Injuries received were fatal. Inscription on gravestone: Every day in some sweet way this beautiful memory comes our way, not forgotten. Casualty List 832, Egypt, Died Result of Accident, 8/5/1942.
