Formerly PC 1262 West Riding Constabulary, stationed at Morley and Dewsbury. 1/12/39 enlisted, and later transferred to CMP. Home address 20 Westerton Road, Tingley, West Yorkshire. Joined the West Riding Constabulary 10/7/38. He died when a car he was travelling in was involved in a collision with a Lorry, he sustained a fractured skull from which he died.
