News has been received by Mrs Florence Rose ham of 14, Clunbury Avenue, Heston, that her husband Lance Corporal Alfred Ham has been killed by enemy action in Italy in March. A native of Fulham, Alfred Ham was the son of Mr and Mrs Ham of Sutton Way, Heston and resided in Heston for 14 years. Prior to enlistment soon after the outbreak of war he was employed at the Heston Milk Depot of the London Cooperative Society. He saw service in India, Africa, Iraq and Sicily before being transferred to the Italian Front. Thirty four years of age, he leaves a son age five.
