No apparent reason except his age (64 or 65) and the fact that he had complained occasionally of difficulty of his job. 20/6/1941 Funeral of CQMS Foster performed with usual military rites. No relatives or friends have been traced yet. "F" Group Traffic Control War Diary, WO 166/5850. No inscription on gravestone. CQMS Foster Left £42.10.3, balance of deceased soldiers not disposed of.
