KILLED IN BATTLE ACCIDENT. The death is reported as having occurred in a battle accident in the Central Mediterranean of Lance Corporal Henry (Dickie) Burrell, of the Corps of Military Police. He leaves a widow and five young children, whose home address is 26 Rose Avenue, Aylesbury. Aged 24 years, Lance Corporal Burrell was the youngest son of Mr and Mrs Harry Burrell, of Quarrendon. Much sympathy is extended to the relative in their great bereavement. He served in the Bucks Territorials before the war, went overseas with the Bucks battalion and was evacuated from Dunkirk. He afterwards transferred to the Corps of Military Police, and at the time of his death had been 15 months in the Central Mediterranean theatre of war, having taken part in the invasion of Sicily and Italy. He was an old pupil of the Aylesbury St Mary's Church School and in peacetime was employed by Messrs, Hubbard, at their Bicester Road works
