War Diary 16 Company TC, WO 171/3357: 4/8/44 Somervieu, enemy aircraft dropped a bomb on unit location after being caught in a AA barrage. 4 other ranks killed, Brooks, Fincham, McGowan, Ward, 24 wounded mostly by blast. Inscription on gravestone: Deep in our hearts a memory is kept, of one we loved dearly.
