TB, sick convoy 22/3/1916, to St Patrick's Info from Soldier's Register of Effects: Gregory, Harry, 11 Devonshire Regiment attached to MFP, died Tooting Military Hospital, left £0-06-02 + War Gratuity £3 to sole Leg, sister Annie. Harry Gregory. Exeter & Plymouth Gazette, 20/4/1916. Broadclyst News. The death has occurred at Tooting Military Hospital of L/Cpl Harry Gregory, second son of the late Mr and Mrs John Gregory, of the village, Broadclyst. He joined the Military Foot Police, and was for several months doing duty in France. Unfortunately, deceased contracted consumption, and was sent home. The funeral took place at Wandsworth Cemetery. The coffin was covered with the Union Jack, and borne to the Cemetery on a gun-carriage. The London Scottish Regiment attended and provided the firing part. The "Last Post" was sounded by the bugler of that Regiment.
