Funeral of Mr W D Beal at Exeter. Sergeants and NCO's of the Corps of Military Police in which he served acted as bearers at the funeral, on Tuesday, at the Higher Cemetery, Exeter, of Mr Wilfred Donald Beal, whose home address was 53, Hawthorn Road, Exeter. Mr Beal, who was 33, died on active service on November 15 at a Scottish Military Hospital after a short illness. The service was conducted by the Rev. H W T Stamp, priest in charge of St Loye's, Exeter and the immediate mourners were Mrs E M Lawson, sister, Messrs. Ronald, Stanley and Harold Beal, brothers: Mr Richard Lawson nephew; and Cpl E Waller, RAMC. Mr Beal's mother was unable to attend. The many beautiful floral tributes included a full-length cross from mother, brothers and sisters; and wreaths from neighbours and friends. Mrs Worth and Family, Quay Lane, Mrs Ford and Dorothy; Surgeons, Matron, Nursing Staff and Cpl Waller, Military Hospital, Scotland, May and children and Bobby in Egypt; and Mrs Martin.
