Died at 11 Stationary Hospital, Rouen from pneumonia 30/9/1918. 6/3/1919 the following items of property were returned to his children George & William. 2 Discs, letters, photos, rosary, badge, note book, bag of scent, razor blades in case. fountain pen, pin cushion, electric torch, hair brush, 3 combs (2 in case), 1 pr folding scissors, drinking cup, shaving soap in case, key, razor in case. Citation:   MFP. Rouen. Acts of Courage Extracted From the Corps Order Books. P/3559 LANCE CORPORAL G FOX MILITARY FOOT POLICE Corps Order Book 22 Page 116 Extracted from Routine Orders by Brigadier General C L McNab Base Commandant Rouen, on 23 June 1917. No2636 Act of Courage. The Base Commandant desires to express his appreciation of the plucky conduct of No P/3559 L/Cpl Fox MFP, who on 31 May 1917, when a pair of mules had bolted with a wagon and were galloping down the Rue Elboeuf, ran out, seized the bridle of one of the mules and after being dragged along for about 40 yards succeeded in stopping the mules and then rescued the driver who had been thrown on the load pole. A record of the above will be made in the Regimental Conduct Sheet of L/Cpl Fox in accordance with KR para 1919 (XIV). HQ Rouen Base No J7008/6.- Died France & Flanders buried St. Sever Cemetery, Rouen.
