Citation:   Italy. Citation for MBE: Lieut WILLETTS has been senior subaltern of the Div Provost Coy since June '43. He has been continually responsible for the organisation of the traffic control in the immediate rear of the forward troops. He has shown great gallantry and determination during these operations and has carried out all these tasks with a skill and speed which ensured success. This officer has been an inspiring example to the Officers and men in the Div Provost Coy by his initiative, enthusiasm and devotion to duty. This particular period covered the speedy and successful advance of the Div, over the difficult country from the RAPIDO to LAKE TRASIMENE, from 12 May to 4 July 44, which necessitated very long arduous hours of work and considerable ingenuity on the part of this officer.
