Citation:   CMP(I). Iran. Citation for BEM: During the past 10 months this NCO has been in charge of a detachment of Indian Military Police at TABRIZ (Iran). He has worked throughout in this isolated place almost entirely without supervision: nevertheless he has maintained his detachment in a high state of discipline, has carried out his provost duties strictly and impartially, and has maintained a friendly spirit of co-operation with the many Russians with whom he has come in contact. He has throughout shewn himself to be possessed of exeptional powers of command and sense of responsibility, where an error in judgement might easily have created friction with our Russian Allies. H.
