War Diary WO 95/409 4 dismounted Traffic Control Unit MFP. 30/11/17 Received orders for HQ and 2 Grouop to move to Hermies to undertake Traffic Control duties on Canal Road. moved 4 pm, arrived Hermies 6pm and took over posts on canal road. 2/12/17 Road under shellfire, 4995 Pte Woodward wounded and evacuated. 4/12/11 4.30 pm Received orders to withdraw from Canal Road at dawn, 5.30 am 5/12/17. 21/12/17 Received notification that No. 13011 L/Cpl Shackleton F and No. 90503 Pte Richardson W J, Army Cyclist Corps have been awarded the Military Medal for work on the Canal Bridge. |
