No. 4731, age 20.11 years, occupation GPO Telephone Fitter, home address: 9 Colne Terrace, Aspley, Nr Huddersfield. 19/9/16 Thiepval, severe wound to head and shoulder. 23/8/17 he was transferred to the MFP. He was on sentry duty when a shell burst wounding him in the back, right shoulder blade and scalp, he had gas gangrene in the shoulder wound.
