You are informed that is has been decided to transfer No. 6284, L/Cpl (A/Sgt) J M Wilson, 3 Bn, Middlesex to the 1st Garrison Battalion, West Yorkshire Regiment at Malta as his services with the Military Port Staff at Malta, where he is employed, have proved very satisfactory on account of his capabilities in linguistic qualifications. It is therefore requested that you will take the necessary steps, in conjunction with the Officer i/c No. 2 Record Office, York, (to whom a copy of this letter has been sent) for his transfer to be effected, and the NCO is to remain attached for duty the the Military Port Staff at Malta. A report should be rendered to this office when the transfer has been carried out.
