Citation: Commendation, Detective L/Cpl's Sheldon and Kine, MFP and L/Cpl's Isherwood and Hayes MFP (Special Branch) are commended for smart and carefully thought out Police work resulting in the arrest on 17/7/1918 of an American soldier named Pte. Vincent McFadden (casual) USA on charges, inter alia, of burglary at No2 Rest Camp and the EFC (Exp Force Canteen) premises in Rue Follan. A copy of the above will be attached to the respective AFB 122 of these NCO's. Extract from Police Orders No 208 27/?/1918.
