| Notes: | MFP. Awarded the Victory and War Medals. First served abroad (1) France, 21/8/1916 to 26/4/1917. Formerly Pte. Scottish Rifles. No. 3219 and Pte. Highland Light Infantry. No. 40442. He enlisted 15/1/16, age 31 years, occupation Jobbing Engineer, he was born at Crowton Hill, Glasgow, home address: 304 Bach Street, Glasgow. Served Home 15/1/16 to 30/8/16, BEF 31/8/16 to 26/4/17, wounded in action 9/4/17, Home 27/4/17 to 29/11/18, France 20/11/18 to 31/3/19 to discharge to re-enlist in MFP Corps No. 1403 (also shown as P/15965). He was tried at Dunkirk by FGCM 16/5/19 for offering violence to his superior officer and obstructing an escort. Received 1 years imprisonment with hard labour, commuted to 56 days field punishment no 1. Returned to duty as a Pte 30/6/19 and discharged 16/12/19 surplus to military requirements physically unfit. Note in army record 'No. 1403 Pte A McKenzie. MFP proceeded to UK on 4/7/19 vide AF29 which was marked "On Re-Enlistment" and has not since returned to this country'. GOC British Troops France & Flanders.
