Luminous wristlet watches have been presented by the Sheffield Police to Cpl Frederick Pordage, MMP., Pte Fee, Irish Guards, who has been home wounded, and Sgt Yates KOSB. Extract from the Sheffield Daily Telegraph 28 July 1917. PRESENTATION TO SOLDIER POLICEMAN. Other police presentations t a colleague on service were made yesterday, in Sheffield, when ex-Police Constable Frederick Pordage, now a corporal in the Military Mounted Police, was handed a luminous wristlet watch. Pordage, as a reservist was called to the 17th Lancers at the outbreak of war and was later transferred to the mounted police. He has just completed ten days' leave. He has been in France 18 months. Two of his brothers are Lieutenants. The ceremony was performed by Acting Chief Inspector Janes in the presence of the policeman soldier's colleagues in the Central Division
