Oldcorn who has been awarded the King's Police Medal, is chief clerk at the headquarters of the Cumberland and Westmorland Constabulary. He fought in the Boer War, being decorated with the DCM, and in 1904 joined the Police, being promoted Sergeant in 1909, and Inspector in 1922. Sergeant Oldcorn, who has been discharged medically unfit, will shortly resume his duties as Inspector at the Police Headquarters at Penrith.
