An interesting ceremony will precede the afternoon opening of the sale of solider's work at the Sheffield Base Hospital by the Countess Fitzwilliam. Her Ladyship is presenting the Meritorious Service Medal and the Military Medal to Sgt J Ralph of the Military Foot Police, who is recovering from gas poisoning. There is no charge for admission, but the public are reminded that a silver collection will be taken at the gate.
